The process is called 'merging duplicate individuals'. Go to the help section in FTM or the online helpcentre (link from the help section)

FTM manages the marriage of cousins very well, I have several in my tree. What exactly is the problem you are experiencing?

Thank you for your help. Merging two individuals work. But it then duplicates them on the all in one tree, But that is a small price to pay I suppose. Thanks again Gina
