Found this entry, wife is Elizabeth not Jane. This is probably Jane's death: Name: Jane Shaw Estimated birth year: abt 1830 Year of Registration: 1885 Quarter of Registration: Jan-Feb-Mar Age at Death: 55 District: Basford County: Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire Volume: 7b Page: 106 Which makes the suggested remarriage probably too soon, and it doesn't really fit in with the family name of the step children, but I have several ancestors of that period thrice married, so who knows?
