Welsh School, Marylebone

Does anyone know anything about this charity school please? I have a relative who was here on the 1851 census, we know his father had died but his mother was still alive so he wasn't an orphan. Was there a welsh connection, did you have to have welsh ancestory to be admitted? (that would make my father-in-laws' day - he's desperate for some welsh blood somewhere!). I have googled it and come up with not a lot so any help would be much appreciated! Helen.

Never heard of it but I'd suggest getting in touch with Westminster Archives whom are really helpful

Thanks Sharon Can you just phone them? Sorry don't know too much about London research all other relations are no further south than Rotherham! Helen.
