Can anyone find Pollie Sukins birth?

I'm trying to help a friend of mine trace Pollie Sukins b abt 1877 The only info we have is that she married Frederick Stocks in 1898 and died 2.10.64, but I cannot trace her on any census or find her birth entry. Can any of you experts help out on this? Many thanks Linda

The marriage reg'n...........the cert would give info about her father, if known Frederick Stocks 1898 Apr-May-Jun Islington Greater London, London, Middlesex View Record Pollie Sukins 1898 Apr-May-Jun Islington Greater London, London, Middlesex Volume: 1b Page: 623 Reg

Hi Linda, do you have the marriage cert for Pollie and Mr Stocks ? That would give the father's name hopefully and enable a census search. Best wishes Joan

Someone has entered the marriage on Ancestry and given her father a John. I found the following in 1881 in Islington, the daughter Mary A fits agewise, and Polly is acommon pet name for Mary or Mary Ann, it is at least worth investigating. Thanks everyone I'll pass this onto my friend tonight not sure what info she had. Doesn't surprise me if the surname was spelt different as my maiden name is spelt 3 different ways on the old census just to test our Sherlock Holmes abilitites ! Regards Linda
