Hi Kate I was adopted via the Mission of Hope in 1967-68 and gained my records by way of the Social Services/Adoption Services Dept at the time...late 1980's I think. Having recently started my sister's search, I did a google search and found new info on where the archive records are kept now...you can try this or just copy and paste the following link: http://www.adoptionsearchreunion.org.uk/BAAF/Templates/Functional/AdoptionSearch.aspx?NRMODE=Published&NRORIGINALURL=%2fsearch%2fadoptionrecords%2f&NRNODEGUID=%7bC895990E-7E2F-49FD-986C-6719B5453DB3%7d&NRCACHEHINT=NoModifyGuest Both my sister and I were adopted through that organisation and my adoptive parents were friends with someone who worked there and I gather they were really good with well kept records...mine contained a lot of information, basically all I needed to find what I was looking for. Please let me know if I can help any further. Good Luck Mrs Rosie
