I've found a marriage on Lancashire's BMD site for one of my rellies which shows they were married at a registry office or registrar attended. As the rellie is not in my direct line, I dont want the expense of buying the certificate at the moment, but my question (finally) is can I view the certificate at the library as you can with church ones?? TIA.....Bacardi X |

The short answer is NO, unless it was a in a nonconformist church and the records happened to have been filmed, not very likely. Jennifer |

If this relative was a Catholic the marriage would have been attended by a registrar. You would have to send for the certificate to find out the details. Fran |
