I actually ordered so many certificates with my 'Christmas money' this year, in the week after Christmas, that I can't actually remember which ones I am still waiting for!

I am waiting for a death certificate from NSW - five members of the family (parents and three children) have running registry numbers - I am SO curious as to how they died - car accident, house fire, ?????? We have a transcription agent here, so I asked if they could also check cause of deaths for the others Fingers crossed Diane

Hi all My certfiicate finally arrived while we were away on holidays. It shows that Rosa Davis died of drowning and an inquest was held, so off to State Records to find out more, also looking for a newspaper report of the day. Just at a guess, would say that the whole family drowned at one of the beaches in The Royal National Park south of Sydney. I also found out over Christmas that my 93year old 4xgreat grandmother had come out to Australia and died in 1865 - NSW certificates ask for a lot more information than English ones of the time (you don't always get an answer though, depending if the informant knew), so I got her certificate too. Not much to go on though - Mary nee Smith, daughter of Smith the butcher born in Deptford Kent about 1773 - but I am not even sure that's right, I am inclined to think she was born in Yarmouth Norfolk !! So looking for Smith the butcher Diane
