I got FTM 6 WDYTYA for Christmas. I am also a yearly subscriber to Ancestry. Is it possible, as I add to my tree on FTM, for my additions to go to Ancestry automatically? I believe FTM and Ancestry are connected in some way, or am I wrong? East Point |

It won't add them automatically. You can create a gedcom from FTM to upload to a One World Tree. You are also asked if you want to share (via Ancestry) your research with others when you reach 100 names, 200 names etc on your FTM file or when you update your FTM website homepage. Glen |

Thank you Glen for your help. FTM certainly takes some getting used to, but glad I've got it. Cheers. |

FTM is really good. As Glen said, you can just make a gedcom and add it on to here, but remember to use the privatise option when you do. And why not make your own family home page on the net? Just click on the Internet tab and then the create my home page and thats it - brilliant, really impress your family with your own website. I hope you are adding pictures and images too. AND dont forget to back up your FTM to a cd and internet so that you can never lose all your work. On Family Tree Forum there is a sub forum just for the FTM program. |

Thanks for all the info Heather. I am on Family Tree Forum as well as on here. I shall try eventually to create a web site and add photos, etc - just got to find my way around a bit more on FTM first - only had it a couple of weeks. East Point |
