Pse can anyone help with suggestions? I am tracing Edward Meredith circa 1835 USA/Canada( on 1851 censusand onwards )in Leintwardine, Herefordshire. His brother William is denoted as born at sea. I need advised on how to go about finding birth certificates? I have no idea where the family went from or to., only that they came from Herefordshire. I am presuming that the brother was born on the voyage out so that must be 1835. In the later census, 1891 and 1901 Edward's origin is Canada so I am inclined to think he was born in Canada rather than USA as earlier ones.

If you google 'births at sea' thers several sites with lots of info. They would be registered in Marine registers.but take al ook cos all the info is too big to reproduce here, Shirley
