all i find also is the ships which have come to grief on the sands. i,m curious, obviously because of the name of the sands, and also because my paternal ancestors were fishing folk for several generations from the yarmouth area. babz, i found the best thing about tassie was the ansett flight out. give me qld any day. |

Ed, I was terrified! First ever flight for hubby too - . LOL :-) I noticed, while Googling, trying to win this competition today! .... they had a list of names from the boating tragedy. Have you had a look to see if any of your folk are listed Ed? Babz |

Caister on Sea famed for its privately run lifeboat station whose proud slogan “Caister men never turn back” has become a legend again has a lovely beach flanked by wide sand dunes and all the usual sea side shops and facilities. It was long ago one of the important Roman ports and has the ruins of what was reputed to be the first brick built castle circa 1430. |
