I can't trace William Cains born 1794 Alverstoke, Gosport, Hants and his wife, Mary Ann born 1795. Can anybody see them? I've tried various combinations, without success Thanks |

Hi Reg. Yes, I have them on the 1851 and 1861 and their deaths but can't find them on the 1841. I need it to see if they had any children Thanks |

1841 is one of the hardest cesuses to utalise. tried thinking laterally can came up with the following possabilities Name: William Cane Age: 45 Estimated birth year: abt 1796 out of county Gender: Male Civil parish: Battersea Hundred: Brixton (Western Division) County/Island: Surrey Country: England Source information: HO107/1046/4 Registration district: Wandsworth Sub-registration district: Battersea ED, institution, or vessel: 11 Folio: 35 Page: 7 Wife :- Mary, b. 1796 out of county Occupation:- Lab No children in household Name: Willm Caine Age: 48 Estimated birth year: abt 1793 Out of county Gender: Male Civil parish: Bromley Hundred: Bromley and Beckenham County/Island: Kent Country: England Source information: HO107/480/7 Registration district: Bromley Sub-registration district: Bromley ED, institution, or vessel: 4 Folio: 25 Page: 3 Occ:- carpenter family:- Ann Caine abt 1797; Francis Caine abt 1831; Margaret Caine abt 1826; Willm Caine abt 1827 - all born out of county Unfortunatly William and Mary could be mistranscribe or on a missing peice and untraciable. Thanks for the replies. Lunar. I've been searching for ages and can't find them. I think it could be the William Cane as on the next Census, he is a cooper living in Bloomsbury, with no children. I'll file this one. |
