You learn something new every day, i had no idea that it was't compulsary to register births until 1875! thanks for letting me know.

I've looked at the complete birth index from 1867 to 1870 and the only likely birth I can find is this one:- John Carle Dec. qtr. 1867, Glendale, 10b, 353 Glendale is in Northumberland. Maybe the spelling of the surname changed over the years. Or perhaps he wasn't registered at all as it wasn't compulsory until 1875. Kath. x

John Carl is his full name, I don't have any idea where he was born only that he lived & died in Chorlton,Manchester.

Can anyone else find birth of john carl b1869, i know he died in q2 1899 in chorlton, but blowed if i can find a birth!!! thanks Clare
