Hi All Could anyone tell me what the occupation of James Smith is please on the 1861 census ref RG9/3920 page5. He is the third name from the bottom. I can`t make it out at all. Many thanks. Eileen |

Is this the 51 year old in Carlisle? It's just that he is near the top of the page and not third from bottom, unless I am looking at the wrong image. The one I can see is a Cotton Weaver. UPDATE - from the response fromAnn, I must be looking at the wrong image. Have you got the complete RG number? Kath. x |
