Thank you so much Elaine, I will check it out. Not much to show for giving his life for his country is it? My Great Uncle was partly the reason I started doing my family tree - I inherited the medals in 2001. Susan

Found it http://www.worldmedals(.)co(.)uk/Rib/ribbon.htm -remove brackets I needed a replacement ribbon for a Burma Star medal. Price quoted was 1 pound plus 50p postage

I have my Great Uncle's WW1 medals, one of which is without the ribbon, is it possible to get a replacement? I did think of buying a medal from a shop which sells militaria and using the ribbon, but my conscience got in the way. Susan
