On the LDS site i think ive found an entry for my ggrandma.Sarah Lillie Jane Honeysett.She was baptised in Nov 1866.How can i find out where they got this info from.All it says is her mothers name and nothing else.

The batch number is the source of the info......... C148041 The likelihood is that the mother was unmarried Reg

Its extracted, so from a reliable source usually try clicking on the bit that says source call number

It is an extracted entry from the parish records. It probably means there is no father mentioned in the record. You will need to check it out at the Sussex county archive. The actual record may say more than this. If you look on the GENUKI site it will tell you where the records for that parish are held and you can either visit or email them. County archives will usually supply a photocopy of an entry in the registers for a small fee. Anne

Hi Jen, At the bottom of the entry it says: Extracted birth or christening record for the locality listed in the record. The source records are usually arranged chronologically by the birth or christening date. This means it has been copied from the Parish Record of the Church at Ewhurst, Sussex. If you want to check the actual entry, you will have to look at the Parish Register at the local Records Office in Sussex, or by ordering the film through a local LDS Centre. Yes Reg she was married to George Henry Harris.I have copy of the marriage certificate and a birth one.On her marriage one,a fathers name suddenly appears??

Hi Jen, Looks as though mother Elizabeth Honeyset may not have been married. On Family Search, there is a baptism 18.1.1846 at Burwash, of an Elizabeth. daughter of Charles and Hannah, which would make her about the right age to have a daughter in 1866. If you look on a map of Surrey/Kent border, there is very little distance between Ewhurst, Burwash and Cranbrook, Kent. Good luck in your searches, Carol
