My geography is rubish ......would that be HAmpshire ? if so..........just 'google' ' Hampshire police archives' and the first one has this... Genealogist can obtain copies of their ancestor's personnel records for the period 1839 to 1921, by visiting or contacting Hampshire Record Office |

Wonder if anyone can help me, William Taylor b1831 in I.O.W Carisbrook was a police constable living in Alverstoke Angelsey Portsmouth in 1861/1871/81 census's. I have looked at a lot of sites on the useful sites page and can't find anything to do with this area, I want to find out what force and fingers X if maybe there would be a photo of him ;; Can anyone give me any pointers of help ;;Thanks Babs |
