Women over 30 could vote from 1918.

http://www(.)familia(.)org.uk/libraries.html (remove brackets) Look for the area you are interested in, then check out what that local studies library holds, you will find their address, email and telephone no. My local one has the electoral roll for 1927 - each area will probably vary in what they hold. Good Luck

I found this post interesting because Im in exactly the same position as you. But I was told electoral rolls werent taken in 1927 only the Kellys directory of voters is available...and women didnt vote til 1930 so the womans name Im looking for wouldnt be on it anyway. I dont want to trek all the way to Bridgend to find I cant get my info, so can someone advise what the correct information is? Thanks!! (PS: Have written to the current owners of the house enclosing an SAE but they haven't replied!)

Electoral rolls are normally held in the major libraries in the area you want to look in. If you google the libraries for the town you want, they may show what they hold on the pages.
