Hi Everyone, Please could someone tell me how can you find out who a relative married, if you do not know the name of the person they married. Also it only says the name of the person you searched? I am useless at this still... Also do not know any dates.......... Thanks Happy New Year Denise.

Denise what time frame are you looking at 1840's 1940's ? Do you know of any children born to the couple? Georgina.

If the marriage was before 1901, then you can search the census on Ancestry (or ask for a look-up on here) and you should be able to find the first name of the spouse. Or you can just order the certificate (using the reference numbers in the index - you only need one name) and you will then get the full name of the spouse. You can do this for any marriage from 1837 up to 2004. Kath. x
