Hi Rod, He was either a member of the United Islamic Front, or was possibly buried under the Unemployment Insurance fund, in other words receiving an old age pension. maggie |

I take it that you found your info from this website: http://www.dorset-opc*com/WarehamFiles/WarehamBurials1731-1812.htm Charles son of Thomas uif BRINE buried 19-Apr 1811 In which case, I don't think that the United Islamic Front was that big in early 19th century Dorset !!! And old-age pensions were unheard of in those days. From the same website: The ... Online Parish Clerk (OPC) for Wareham is Pat Ashdown. Material will be posted to this site as transcribed. You may contact her by e-mail if you have queries. wareham06 [at sign] dorset-opc*com So why not drop her a line and ask her if she knows what it means? Richard |
