Your best starting point would be with Charles's parents......if the chap Bromley was his uncle, one of the parents would be his sibling........ Do you have the birth details for Charles? If Gilbert was a Lord, he would appear on the censuses, as Gilbert, Lord Bromley, and the 'Bromley' probably would not be his surname at birth, as anyone elevated to the peerage chooses his own title...........usually one which reflects where he was born, or where he lived and worked. Does either of Charles's parents have a brother named Glbert? Haven't any direct experience of such things, but might Burke's Peerage be of some help to you? Don't know if it's accessible online..........perhaps someone can advise............. Reg

I am not sure, upon asking my mum she thinks he was an uncle of Charles Russell born 1868 in Bethnal Green London? He was apparently a Lord, sorry I don't have any further information that was why I wondered if Who's Who would be of help?

Does anybody know if you can access this online, I am looking for a Lord Gilbert (Gilby) Bromley after 1900 but that is the only information that I have and am not finding anything by doing a search on internet. Your comments greatly recieved. Hope you all had a fab Christmas.
