Hi Julie, you just beat me to it lol, just checked working backwards Q2 1925! but suspect as husband got married in whickham maybe not her. Have now checked back to Q1 1924 and other than the one Julie posted, I cannot see another that ties up with the DOB you give. Keith

Have you looked for another marriage for her ? My g-grandfather remarried in Australia in 1924 and was noted widower, but I have looked and looked and looked for Edith's death in England with no luck. I did however, find a marriage for a woman of the correct name in 1923 to someone else, and I am going to send for the certificate to check it out. Divorce was not easy, but did happen. Diane

Hi Rhonda, As explained on your thread, the only way to find them due to the timescale is to 'trawl' the full death indexs (not the FreeBMD, only partially complete up to approx 1910) quarter by quarter. You can do this by registering fro free at Ancestry. To ask someone to trawl them for you could be a very long job, maybe taking hours to complete depending when they died. Try it yourself, it is a lot more satisfying if you can find them yourselves. Sorry to be blunt, but will be the only way.

Hi I am trying to find Alice Mills' death. She was born 1872 and was domestic servant in 1891 at Portland Lodge in Hexham Northumberland. She married Joseph Turnbull in Hexham in 1900 and they were in Durham on 1901 census, no children at that point. She was the daughter of Joseph Mills. Joseph Turnbull remarried in Whickham in 1929 and is shown as a widower. I've tried Free BMD and Ancestry, but no luck. Can anyone suggest where else I might look? thanks Carol
