There are loads of websites if you google in parenthesis: 'Battle of the Boyne'. The following is just one of them. http(://)www(.)irelandseye(.)com(/)aarticles(/)history(/)events(/)dates ch5(.)shtm As for finding a list of soldiers who took part in the battle, that would be more than difficult, and online for Ireland would be a miracle ?? Still, it is Christmas. The battle took place in 1690. Now if you could trace back to 1649 and the Cromwellian period then a list of officerswho fought in Ireland are in a special book situated in TNA (The National Archives at Kew). You can only access it by visiting TNA and you have to ask for the book as it is usually kept behind the desk. Like most records of this sort, they are not online. You have to research in the archives yourself. Janet |

Hi, Does anyone know how to get information on The Battle of the Boyne. I have been on the official webpage but to no avail. I have also tried on any sites that I can. I need a list of soldiers - if there is such a thing. I would be so grateful if someone can help me please. Penelope. |
