People may remember that I posted something a little while ago re. this cemetery. My great aunt left for her marriage from the house inside the cemetery gates, her nick name after that was... Cemetery Kate. Kathlyn

Thanks for that - I've had a quick look and I certainly need at least a date of death to try to find them. Also, they go up to end of 1962 now. Jeannie

Hi The city of london burial registers are starting to be put online they have 24 June 1856 to 2 June 1861 so far, but you would need to know the plot number really. They do offer a research service, you would have to check out how much it costs. However, if you live near enough you can make an appointment to view the burial registers, I have several times the staff are very helpful and its a lovely cemetery.

Hi, Questions such as this can normally be found out for yourself by Googling: www(.)google(.)co(.)uk Remove brackets from web address. I just put 'City of London Cemetery' into Google with the quote marks and found the following website: Remove brackets from web address http://www(.)cityoflondon.gov.uk/Corporation/our_services/health_safety/cemetery_crematorium/ It doesn't appear that burial details are online and you would need to contact the cemetery direct. You may also find this website useful: Remove brackets http://www(.)londoncemeteries(.)co(.)uk/?c=17 Cheers, Horatia
