Hi Andrea Just done the same myself so will be interested in reply. It has kept all my favourites, which you access on the yellow star on left hand side top screen. Tools on right upper screen showed some of them. Scary when screen changed but quality seems better...I'm only a novice. Liz |

Yeah, my faves are still there too and I've worked out how to refresh screen (at end of search bar, the two green arrows going in opposite directions in a circle) and how to go back etc, but I am used to the bars where they were and I keep clicking on the wrong things!! Maybe we'll just have to get used to it - but it does annoy when they do this. Make it better by all means, but can't they at least leave stuff in the same order!?!?! I guess I'm just stuck in my ways. lol. |

Hope this helps... Go into TOOLS (the new one next to the blue ?) Hover on Toolbars, in the drop down window. click on CUSTOMIZE In the window that opens, you can ADD> or < Remove what you want and put them in the order you prefer. Move them UP or Down, as well. Babz |

Just a tip, if you've updated your explorer and your menu files (file, edit, view, tools, help etc) have disapeared, try hitting you 'Alt' key on the keyboard and it should show then for a few seconds, you'll find options in there, in view. Vaughny x |

You can get those options back permanently by going into TOOLS using the blue cog thingy (Tee-Hee) and putting a tick next to Menu Bar. I have mine on all the time. Cheers, Horatia |

?? I have everything that should be there - just in different places and I want to know how to move them around??? Can anyone help with that or am I stuck with it like this?? |

Usually if you click and drag on the toolbars you can move them around, unless you've accidentally locked them. Go into View/Toolbars and check that Lock The Toolbars isn't ticked. Cheers, Horatia |

Right, now they are back, let's see if I can drag them to swap them round..... -------------------------------------------------------------------- Oh blast and botheration!! Now the bars have completely disappeared!! If I go to the top of my screen, they appear again for a few seconds but then they go again. What have I done now?!?!? Sorry to be a pain. I should have just left it alone!! I always do this. Thanks for your help. |

Nope, dragging them doesn't do anything. Oh well, never mind. I guess I'll get used to it eventually. I just preferred it how it was!! I have now taken the Internet Explorer 7 tour to find out what the new bits are aswell. Well whooop-de-flipping-do eh??? Thanks for your help peeps. I'm gonna go and take a break for now. Will check back later to see if anyone has added anything. Thanks again. Andrea. |

Andrea, You've probably just overlapped your toolbars. When dragging toolbars you can usually see a dotted line where one section ends and another begins - try dragging where the dotted line is - this may show up the missing bits! ;-) Are you clicking and dragging or just dragging? Go into View and then toolbars and make sure you have Menu Bar ticked and Links ticked if you used it before - don't bother if you never used the Links toolbar in the past. Don't give up on IE7, it has better security that IE6. Cheers, Horatia |

Horatia I have the dotted lines and have clicked and dragged them. It just gave me a couple more icons but I still can't move the whole bars around. I am getting used to it now so I'll just leave it. I feel better after staying off the pc overnight - I'm now calm and stress free again!! Thanks for your help. Andrea. |
