If someone died in ww1 would they have a death cert my gt Grandfather William manns born 28-12-1881 married 27th oct 1900 had my grandfather 1902 but when my Grandfather married in 1922 Gt Grandfather William is deaceased but i cant find his Death record cant understand why any ideas |

Yes. I have the death certificate for my great-uncle who was killed in action on the borders of France and Belgium in 1918. |

Have you checked the Commonwealth War Graves site (www*cwgc*org)? It has a searchable database of all people who died in WW1. |
