Quick question whilst viewing a shared tree can I find a list of surnames of all people added to that tree like you would find a list of all surnames in your own tree? It would take forever to view each individual in the tree to find this out. Any ideas? |

You do a search on just the surname only, and select 'This Tree' in the search selection. |

Thanks Jeanette, wasn't sure, so thought it worth asking. |

Hi Clive, what I should have said was if you didn't know the surname, but just wanted to check what all surnames in the tree were how you would find that out. |

Ah, yes, I see. If you are looking for connections, probably the best thing would be to look at the Ancestors view, and hope to spot familiar names. See anyone interesting and select them, before returning to Immediate Family view, and you will see that person's immediate family. Can't think of a better way with the present Tree. |
