Hi all I would like to build a website for my local community as it is fairly close knit, where people could share their own memories/family history on the local area, would anyone know how I go about this? Thanks, Bev |

First things you will need will be a web host, and a domain name, both of which are easy to get. Then comes the hard bit deciding which software to use. What type do you want, how much are you prepared to pay for it. If its a message board based site there are a couple of good free ones out there. I use phpbb as the support is very good. |

Oh dear, I feel like a complete Novice. Do I just obtain a disc that will then load the information, tools that I need? Thanks |

Bev, WHSmith and other bookshops stock the **** for Dummies books, they really are excellent. There is one concerning building a website. I would suggest you buy that first, as it will take you through it step by step. |
