Hello, I'm having trouble getting my messages on the Contacts Page. Messages are coming through on the Message Page, but when I go on my Contacts Page , the new message isn't there. Some one wanted to view my tree, so I replied to the lady, and asked if she would contact me again, which she did. But still nothing came up on the contacts page, only the Message Page. I've checked the dates in case this lady had come through on another name, but no. So is it me? or are there others out there having this problem. Maggie.

This happened to me. I found out later that we had been in contact before but had deleted the contact. Ask her for a name,from her tree,with place and date. Go to'search' or'quick search' find the name with her 'board name' and contact her from there.

I didn't know that you COULD sort contacts by date. Having played with the list in that order I concluded that it was a good idea that doesn't work (like so much about GR). Every time I select a message, or delete a contact, the list goes back to the deault alphabetic order, so that working with contacts by date becomes very tedious indeed. Even deleting this week's crop of non-matches takes ages, because you can't delete more than one at a time. Grr! I'll be glad, I think, when next month comes around, and my GR membership is just another memory ...
