Thanks Jennifer. I think I'll unistall Norton & change as everyone seems to say it is better. Don't want anything interfering with my tree! and certainly don't want to lose any info.

It is not advisable to run two anti virus programmes, they can interfere with each other and make them ineffective, one anti virus is quite sufficient. I have used AVG satisfactorily for several years. Jennifer

Excuse me for asking, but am I right in thinking that AVG cannot be on at the same time as Norton? I think I read it somewhere but not sure where. If so, I'm thinking of taking Norton off completely. Thanks Anne

I think the new version would have been the one he downloaded as its been available for a month or more now.

Hi Susie, If you son has installed the AVG system, then he/you should have already received a message that comes up stating you need to download the newer version as old one finishes in January. Remind him to download the newer one. Betty

hello betty thankyou for letting me know. my son installed avg for me a couple of weeks ago.its brilliant. far better than norton lol susie

This needs to be updated as the old version is discontinued in January 2007. You should have received a message stating that you need to download the newer version which is also free. Just make sure you download the free version!!! Betty
