If you scroll through all the messages, or even do a word search, there are loads of messages with information and sites to help those that are looking for people in Ireland. Good luck because it ain't easy - I'm speaking from experience!! lol.

Her Indoors

Her Indoors Report 13 Dec 2006 13:09

One of my Gt Grandfathers was born in Kildare c1844. His father, my 2GGF, was a farrier in the 4th Dragoon Guards, and I think that my GGF was born while his father was posted in Ireland. His older sister was born in Dundalk, while his younger brother was born in Birmingham, where the family settled after his father's military service. I have to admit to having no knowledge or experience on tracing Irish ancestry. Any suggestions welcome.
