As it appears in the index, Thomas Tyler Powell,,, XV111===18..Volume. Page,271, D//wich, June 1/4.

FreeBMD has: Surname Given Name District Volume Page Transcriber -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Births Jun 1846 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Powell Thomas Tyler Presteigne XXVI 271 However, if you look at the image (it's dreadful!) the volume number appears to be XVIII which is 18 not 26 I think the registration district is DROITWICH too The GENUKI page for civil registartions in Worcestershire says that the relevant volume for Droitwich is XVIII = 18

You have the info reversed..........it's Vol 26, Page 271 Although that Vol is Presteigne... and the marriage was registered in Droitwich........... Just checked image............Vol should be 18..the transcribers have picked up the Vol no. for the entry below 'yours'........... So you need Droitwich Vol 18, Page 271 Reg

I recently sent for a birth cert for Thomas Tyler Powell on BMD the ref was June 1846 page 26 vol 271, but this has been returned by GRO as not known... can anyone help please.
