Trying To Find Death Of A Relative

is there an easier way to find out when a relative died other than trawling through records with no idea of what year I should be looking at. this person died sometime between 1891 and 1941 Thank you Maria

Depends on what years you are interested in. 1984 on you can do a search. Before that, try Free BMD. If you are unlucky it's a trawl through Ancestry. Janice

if you think they died between 1984 and 2004 you could see if they show up on ancestry, before this you'll have to trawll or ask someone to narrow down the time frame.

Have you tried to find this person on 1901 census? If he/she appears on 1891, but not on 1901, it is possible that the death occurred during that decade.......... Reg

If you buy units on familyrelatives.org - you can search the 1866-1920 period by name and by area/time span. One tip - only use ONE first name in the search - it will bring up the second names but for some reason its glitches the system on search and you end up with nil results.
