not really i have asked in records office for pll to do a look up but in 1901 it says he is a dog biscuit maker and in the 1891 census possibly if him a painter |

ahhhh upon closer inspection it must be polman as all the Ts do not connect to the next letter but the Ls do |

Did you ever watch Tony Robinson's worst occupations series earlier this year? that featured a Poleman (not that it was the worst occupation). But the poleman had a long pole and he would run to where ever the surveyor told him to go stand whilst the surveyor measured the distance with his compass and sights. |

Was it a potman, ...who worked in pubs? Perhaps someone didn't cross the T. I found one like that, ..backed by certs. Gwyn |
