German relatives

Does anyone know how to go about tracing German relatives? From the 1901 census I know that my great great grandparents moved to London from Prussia. I don't know why they moved or where they came from. Any tips gratefully received! Thanks Laetitia

you could try family search ( LDS ) site, they do have some German records. http://www.familysearch.org/Eng/Search/frameset_search.asp?PAGE=search_all1.asp&clear_form=true also if you google, german genealogy there are some sites Roy
