I have some photo's added to my tree.I have tried to keep all the picture sizes below 10k.Once I have added them ,they are in clear view in the right hand side of my person's page. But recently I think that my contacts are saving the images of my ancestors and the result is that when I next come to view the photo of my ancestors ,their photo image becomes very large on the screen ,and is too large to view properly. Has anyone else had this problem,is it a good idea to add photo's to GR ? if this is to be the out come then perhaps it is not a good idea to add their photos' |

Hi Simon Its easy to save someones photos you just right click then save them to your computor, i dont think this is the problem I got in touch th GR as some of mine appeared to the right and some very large at the bottom of the screen was told it had been changed due to the update and larger ones now appear at the bottom If your having problems get in touch with GR |

Hi Simon, GR's site upgrades have altered the size of the photos - it is nothing to do with anything you or your contacts have or have not done. In fact as they have got HUGEnow, I find it is only possible to view them with the new tree program . When I originally uploaded them I'd deliberately set their widths and file sizes for ease of use but this has made no difference. It had worked perfectly in the original old tree program which was removed last year (?) For some reason the screen proportions are different in the older tree version to the newer one. I get a thin strip across the bottom of the screen to view pictures in the older version - a bit like having to squint through a letterbox! With the newer version the bottom of the screen area is much more appropriate, ie-less scrolling needed. As suggested, you can always right-click and save the picture onto your computer to view it in its entirety! |
