Hi wonder if someone could tell me how to go about finding a birth. the person in question is IRENE TWIST i dont know what year she was born in but think it was in WARRINGTON her parents were JAMES TWIST and MARGARET GORMLEY who married in 1911 in WARRINGTON i dont know anything else about JAMES OR MARGARET i know its not much to go on but any ideas would be great love linda x

ita a trawl thro ancestry from the parents marriage year. Ancestry BMDS are free to search ,make sure you use the full records not the freebmd ones as these are still work in progress on being transcribed Ahirley

Surname Fahse. Germany. Essex .South East London My avatar is one of our wedding photos of 1957

I found these, but no Irene... Birth Dec 1920 James A - Warrington 8c 326 Birth Mar 1918 William - Warrington 8c 255 Birth Mar 1916 Margaret - Warrington 8c 289 Birth Dec 1913 Selina M - Warrington 8c 337 Birth Sep 1911 Agnes - Warrington 8c 320 mmn - Gormley She must've been born after 1920 (unless she was born before they married?), so you'll need to trawl the BMD indexes.

Here it is, along with a few others:- Irene Twist, mmn Gormley June qtr. 1930, Warrington 8c, 202 Leonard Twist, mmn Gormley Sept. qtr. 1923, Warrington, 8c, 262 Hilda Twist, mmn Gormley Dec. qtr. 1925, Warrington, 8c, 251 James Twist, mmn Gormley June qtr. 1928, Warrington, 8c, 206 The parents marriage reference:- James Twist and Margaret Gormley March qtr. 1911, Warrington, 8c, 255 The marriage certificate will give you the fathers names and occupations for both of them, which will help to find these two in the 1901 census.
