The FULL bmd search doesn't give you the option of entering the GRO refs.......you seem to have been looking only at the freebmd extracts. On the full record search box you can input forename and surname; plus year(s) to search, and the quarter, if you know it. I'm assuming that you are looking for the entry to enable you to order the cert...........although, if you have the GRO refs, what else do you need? Reg |

you will only find it in the complete index as on ancestry only transcribed 1837-1910 and then again 1984-2004. There is a few years after 1910 its all the same as the freeBMD site Jeanette |

I have a letitia Q Ponsonby (nee Quayle) b 1876 Whitehaven married to Albert Amos Ponsonby. 1903 died 31 mar 1939---- Southport Lancs. she shows in the April qtr of the England Wales index complete BMD 1837 - 1983 but when I triy to look her up putting the vol and page No I get nothing and I went right to the end of Ponsonbys. What am I doing wrong? |
