Thanks for the suggestion Margaret but I suspect the lady is new to Family History research. She found me via my co-researchers one-name study site. Ray

Historyman Report 7 Dec 2006 22:50

In connection with my one-name study a lady wrote to me from Adelaide, Australia, saying 'I was her last hope of tracing relatives of her grandmother in the UK' I immediately replied saying in part 'The exciting news is not only can I give you family details in full back to 1550, but also one of my correspondents is the son of your deceased Grandmother's brother'. I was rather surprised that this news did not produce a reply. I then noticed the last para gave a different e-mail address. (Probably wrote from work). I then sent same message to other e-mail address. A week later the lady wrote again, virtually repeating her first request. Part of her letter states that she has joined the Genealogy group in Adelaide. Will anyone from Adelaide please send me a PM for Lady's name and e-mail addresses if they think they can help. Also would welcome General comments of other possible ways to resolve this problem. Ray Whincup
