Hi Pete - yes, that thought had crossed my mind. I was thinking that maybe once the form got processed and they saw I was in London they might have cancelled me off. But if Gillian is still able to get in, that puts that theory to rest, I suppose. Do you know of any other sites that give access to the Times online? |

I have tried my log in and PIN a couple of times recently and experienced the same problem. I have completed the online report but have yet to receive a reply. Perhaps they are blocking those of us who aren't in Bedfordshire? Pete |

Thanks Gillian - I guess it's just some problem with my log-in then. I know that I wrote the pin down correctly because I used it for a few days after joining. Ah well...will just have to be patient and wait for new pin to arrive. |

Hi - has anyone with an online membership for the Times Newspaper Archives (through Bedfordshire's Virtual Library) ever had a problem logging on? I joined up a few weeks ago and was given a library card number and a pin number. All was fine - I was using the site for a few days but haven't been on there for a couple of weeks. Just tried to log on today and it is saying that my pin isn't recognised. I tried signing up again and it says that I am already an online member. I tried my log-in half a dozen times to make sure I wasn't typing it in wrong. Still not working. Do you know if your pin becomes obsolete after a certain length of time? Has anyone else had this same problem? I've requested a new pin - but this is going to take up to 5 days by post - such a pain when I just want to get on and do some research. Athena |
