Help needed reading occupation

I cant read the occupation on the 1891 census for JAMES WARD (1861) Edgbaston, Warwickshire and JOHN WARD (1873)Solihull, Warwickshire. Would someone please help many thanks!

is James' birth place edgbaston or is that his residence? Can't see one for that year of birth. Is John brother? please give a few more details and I'll look again

Yes John is James's brother, Johns wife was called Jone and they had a loager called Ada living with them

Hi Amy, you had years of birth wrong way round - thought I was going mad! John was a police constable and James was a gas lamplighter

Found it ...it come up staffordshire on the ancestry search box Police Constable and lamplighter
