Thanks Gwyn but I don't think so. There are lot's of Poyntzes in Wales but my lot don't seem to have had any connection. I have acess to Ancestry and I have looked everywhere I can think of. BMD's & Census. I tried to look on emigration stuff but not sure what I am doing. I did also look on the Ellis Island website but nothing there either. I'm stumped. Naomi x |

Thanks again Jeanette. Sorry for delayed reply but I had no internet access yesterday. I already have her mother's details and her brothers and sisters upto 1901. It's just Fanny who has disappeared and I am stumped. Naomi x |

Hello all, After a year out from my family tree, I am trying to get back into the swing of things. I have a relative that seems to have disappeared after appearing on the 1871 census age 13. I have looked at the BMD on Ancestry but cant find any record of marriage or death. I can't find her on the 1881 either however if she married I wouldnt know her married name. Can anyone give me more idea's on where to look. I seem to have forgotton so much! My relative was Fanny Poynts b1857 in Camberwell, Surrey. Last seen on the 1871 census as Fanny Loynes (mis-transcription) RG10/729 Folio 14 Page 28 GSU 823352. Her mother appears on the 1881 living with one of her older sons and his family and Fanny has disappeared off the face of the earth. Many thanks in advance Naomi x |
