I have a Florence Carl b1892 Manchester,i have her father on her marriage cert as John Carl, found her on the census with father John but Ross not Carl. Thinking that her mother had been married before but why would John Ross become John Carl was this something written for convenience on the marriage cert? or am i completely barking up the wrong tree? |

Looking at the census i think both John and Esther have been married before with Richard Selina Lee Being John's children and Ada Florence Lily Being Esthers children from her first marriage and Mary being their child together I found this marriage Carl John Chorlton 8c 970 LOWE Esther Chorlton 8c 970 Dec 1886 Births Jun 1890 Carl Ada Chorlton 8c 876 Births Sep 1892 Carl Florence Chorlton 8c 953 Births Mar 1896 Carl Lily Chorlton 8c 907 Mhairi |
