SCOTTISH LOOK UP PLEASE FOR A STRANGE NAME, BIRTH

hi all, im looking for a birth record for the following name, its a bit strange but this is the way is spelt in England with the other sons. The name is GEORGE LE VANASEUS/DURELL he was age 7 on the 1881 english census so that makes his birth around 1873 to 1875. His mum was MARY and his dad was HENRY JOHN A could be either the french name or the english name DURELL Thanks all

Jess and Helena, thanks very much, my son in laws great grandparents I think they were all in the Theatre, actors and the likes. I go real confused because sometimes the name, being from Jersey gets mis spelt along the way and sometimes they are just called DURELL. o you by any chance know what the 'DIT' stands for in between the names. Thanks again for your help.

Ted I've looked up Scots dictonary and here is its meaning. DIT 1. To shut up, to close, gen. used of the mouth (Sc. 1808 Jam.; Mry.1 1925; Bnff.2 1940; Abd.7 1925; Rxb. 1923 Watson W.-B.). Pa.p. † dit t, dit ted. Sometimes used with up. I don't know if that what it means in the Extract but could mean something like 'sounds like', pronounced? Anyone else know? helena
