Help Help where do I start?

Hi Gerald Start with your mother and confirm her DOB, is she still alive? If so see what she can remember. If not, order her birth certificate to find out her parents, then find their marriage. By that time with luck you should be back to the census and be able to find them on there. Good luck

Im new to this game I have help from some very good people in the search for my fathers family. The problem is with my mothers side of the Family. There are a lot of HEARDs in Cornwall and around the world but I am not sure where to start can anyone advise me? Gerry
