Betty B from Dundee What board on Rootsweb were you looking on? What county in Ireland. Eilis is wonderful. She seems to know everything. I will see if I can find it for you. It can't be toally lost(your thread and Eilis' s replies. M

There`s also a good site called family ulster-they will search for a charge but will tell you the cost first, Ros

Hi Betty Yes I did mean GR, its late and I really should be in bed. I can never find Irish stuff either although if relatives are from Co Clare I have a useful site. Its http://www(.)clarelibrary(.)ie/index.htm also http://www(.)myirishancestry(.)com seems good. If only other sites were as good as Scotlandspeople Good hunting Helena

Hi Helena, Sorry I'm not sure what GU is?? or do you mean GR?? Anyway no I don't think its the same thing. This girl gave me lots of great information which I did read. It was late at night and I just thought I will copy all this out tomorrow and keep all this really useful information on Ireland and the area my gran and grandparents lived and where to check things et. Now its all gone and I didn't copy it at the time, wish I had now. I put a message on there asking why it would have been deleted but still have not had a reply since Sunday morning.. Betty

Hi Betty I had similar problem on gu today but it was cause I was viewing my threads only and for some reason it doesn't show the replies. Could it be the same? Helena

If so can you tell me why my messages would be deleted on there. I had been given lots of great information about Ireland from a lovely girl called Eilís O'Hara and everything is now deleted. Why would they/someone do that? Betty
