'Immediate view' has changed - help!

Strange. Just went back into my tree and the 'Immediate View' is back to normal with the split screen and toolbar at the bottom, without me having to do anything to get it back. Thanks for your replies - I'll bear them in case it happens again.

on the bar at the bottom of the immediate tree there is a rectangle that is slightly darker than the bar with an arrow in it - click the arrow. Lunar

I haven't added to my tree for a few days but when I went to do so today I see the Immediate view screen has changed. The problem is I can now see my tree but the screen is no longer split into two and the part at the bottom where you view and input each persons details is not visible. The last thing at the bottom part of the screen is the menu with 'add partner' etc and I'm sure the other part of the screen with the details is below this but there is no scroll bar on the screen to scroll down to this so how to I get to see it?
