Hi George. I'm not sure how to obtain the information, but I'd be happy to check Ancestry for you, if that would be of any help. This answer was posted on another thread: 'You can order SS information directly from Rootsweb's Social Security Death Index site: http://ssdi.rootsweb*com (replace * with .) The site also explains what the SS # are use for and what information can be obtained from ordering the cert.'

I have a US Social Security Number, Full Name, birth date and death date, How can I find more information about this person, is there an avenue using the Social Security Number. In anticipation, George Bell, Im From Fife Scotland so any suggestions at minimal cost please..Ancestry.com will provide death certificate but at the cost off an arm and a leg....
