Have downloaded a gedcom file from FTM 2006 cause I messed mine up here and it was quicker to put it right by reloading a correct tree! Now all my hot matches have disappeared!! Ok some of them were a total waste of space but there were a few people who were linked with mine and we keep a weather eye on other hot matches. Should this have happened? Sue

Dont know sue, but have you looked in your contacts to see if they are still there? Im sure your hotmatches will come up again when they do another scan of matches on your new ged com - why dont you email them a query?

I think what happens - when you load a GEDCOM into GR, it treats it as being an entirely new tree. You will eventually receive all your OLD Hot Matches back again - pretending to be new ones, lol. OC

Thank you for all your replies. I can't bear the thought of going through pages and pages of hot matches that have no relevance especially with Christmas coming and moving abroad. By the time I get round to it there will be hundreds of pages!!!!!! Sue x
