Marie, I have that certificate, but it looks as if it is the wrong person. Reggie, She may well have married twice, her husband Leonard Walker died in 1979. Alice died (I believe) in Dec 1990 in Solihull. At the moment I can only work to memories by the family and they are very vague. |

Only one other 'Alice Comfort' death on Ancestry for the 1984-2004 timespan, and that one is completely 'wrong' Could 'your' Alice have been Welsh? Reg |

Marie, They had several children starting with Leonard Vernon Thomas Wright in 1949. I have today received his birth cert. Prior to that we thought her name had been Alice Maud Walker. Reggie, I have just spoken to son-in-law and he has confirmed that she remarried and she was definitely Welsh. |

Thanks Marie, That is very kind of you. I will apply for her Birth Certificate next. However, it is her daughter's marriage which is causing my headache. |

Thanks for your help and pointing me in the right direction. I have now managed to trace that Walker family back to Derbyshire in 1841. The Patriarch was successively a Railway Inspector, Railway Superintendant and Road Surveyor. He travelled all over the Country popping out offspring as he went. |
