Hi All, I would like to order my GGGrandfather birth certificate but cannot read the page number This is the information I have Jonathan Sutcliffe Quarter September Year 1845 XXII I think it is 211 I would be grateful if some one could confirm this for me Cheers Rowena

I would have said it was 241..maybe someone else will take a look...Sandra

I think it says 241 I am sure there is a feint line joining the two 1's like the 4 above jeanette

You don't need the reference if you are ordering from the local registry office , in which case for Halifax, you would contact: Location Calderdale (created 1st October 2001) Address 4 Carlton Street Halifax West Yorkshire HX1 2AH Tel: 01422 353993 Cheques payable to 'CMBC' please.

Hi Rowena I have had this problem before. I sent an e-mail to the GRO with the information I had and told them the problem and they very kindly looked it up for me. Worth a try. Susan
